Wilkes Wins the Detroit Offensive Player of the Year Award

T’Shawn Wilkes from Detroit Denby High School won the 2018 Detroit PSL Offensive Player of the Year Award.

The senior tailback rushed for 2,165 yards and 33 touchdowns and helped his team win two playoff games this past season. A phenomenal athlete with a great work ethic.

“In 25 years, he is the best running back I have ever coached. His skill level is very high. He is a better person than he is an athlete and that speaks volumes about his character”, said Tony Blakenship. He also plays basketball and averages 20 points per game.

He has offers from Findlay University and Ferris State University. He is also getting heavy interest from the MAC conference schools like Ball State and Eastern Michigan. Wilkes also earned All-City honors by the local newspapers.
