Washington Earns Detroit Scholar Athlete Award

The Detroit PSL Scholar-Athlete of the Year was given to the top student-athlete with a 3.2 GPA or greater. 

Dakarai Washington from Detroit Renaissance High School won the award. 

Washington is a 6’0 235-pound senior linebacker with a 3.2 GPA and scored a 1040 SAT. He finished the 2018 season as one of the top defenders in the league with 7 quarterback sacks, 11 tackles for loss and 2 fumble recoveries. He holds multiple offers from Division 2 and Division 3 schools.
