Oregon Ducks Invade California for their Top Class in Program History

With UCLA, USC, and Cal all struggling in 2018, the Oregon Ducks came into the golden state and stole some of their top prospects in order to give them the best recruiting class in program history.

The Oregon Ducks are 5th overall in the country and #1 in the PAC-12 with this 2019 recruiting class. Mario Cristobal, Oregon’s head coach, is one of the top recruiters in the nation and he was a huge asset even when he was at Alabama, prior to coming to Eugene.

“We have one of the greatest recruiters ever in college football as our head coach,” said Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens.

A big reason for their success is the 10 recruits that signed from California. They had one 5-star, six 4-star, and three 3-star prospects sign on Wednesday.

Kayvon Thibodeaux from Oaks Christian was a huge pickup for the Ducks and the highest rated prospect in their 2019 class. The 6’5 240-pound 5-star defensive end is the #1 prospect in California and #2 overall in the country.
