The Michigan Wolverines didn’t waste time moving in on Jalen Perry after he de-committed from the University of Georgia last month.
Perry, a 6’1 185-pound cornerback from Dacula high school in Georgia made a new verbal commitment to the University of Michigan this week. He is the 26th commit in the 2019 recruiting class for Michigan.
He is a 4-star recruit and considered one of the top DB’s in the southeast region. He had offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and several others. Perry was one of 3 players that de-committed from the Bulldogs last month.
Perry is a big corner that is solid against the run and is an excellent cover guy. On offense, he does it all from playing receiver catching balls, to running jet sweeps, and is also the QB in the wildcat formation. He is a playmaker on both sides of the ball and a huge pickup for the Wolverines.
His high school team is having a great season, with a 10-2 overall record, and playing this Friday in the Final 8 of the Georgia 6A state playoffs. Perry also carries a 3.7 GPA.
