Frank Buncom IV has been a wrecking machine on defense for St. Augustine head coach Richard Sanchez over the past three years. The 6’2”, 190 pound, athlete has primarily played cornerback during his high school career but has moved down closer to the line as needed showing the ability to play the run as well as the pass.

Decision day nears with an announcement coming on Wednesday Jan. 28 at his high school. With nearly 30 scholarship offers from top Division-I programs and Ivy League schools across the nation, Buncom has narrowed his final four down to Stanford, Notre Dame, Cal, and Vanderbilt.

The final four teams have turned up the heat with Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason coming for an in-home visit, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly making the trip to San Diego for an in-home, and Cal hosting the top prospect over the weekend.

Buncom other offers include Arizona, Duke, Harvard, Oklahoma, San Diego State, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah, Washington, Washington State, Boston College, Arizona State, Nebraska, and Yale among others.

Elite Football Network did a sit down interview with Frank in May of 2014 (Interview Link).
