Abdul Adams Commits to Michigan State

One of the top players on Michigan State’s recruiting board
is Abdul Adams from the Washington D.C. area. On the eve of their spring
football game, the Spartans received great news that he wants to be a Spartan.
Adams, a 5’11 205-pound running back, is the Spartans 4th
commit in their 2016 recruiting class. He had offers from Notre Dame, Florida,
Oklahoma, West Virginia, Pitt and about 15 other major Division 1 programs.
Adams played for Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington
D.C. last season. As a junior, he rushed for 1,499 yards and 11 touchdowns on
180 carries. He had 16 catches for 197 yards and 5 touchdowns. Adams also had a great sophomore season,
rushing for 1,231 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Adams is an exciting player to watch on film. He has the
vision to find the hole, and once he sees a little a bit of daylight, he can
kick it into another gear and take it to the house. His burst and explosion make
him one of the best backs in the country.
This is a great addition for the Spartans and a great way to
start off a big recruiting weekend in East Lansing.
