The state of Iowa has been known for producing great offensive lineman over the years. One player to keep an eye on in the Class of 2015 is Dowling Catholic’s Elijah Swehla. Swehla is a 2-year starter and was the anchor on their 4A State Championship team.

The 6-foot-3 300 lbs All-State junior has had a great off-season and showed off his talent at the Elite Big Man Camp in Detroit. Swehla was selected to the All-Big Man Team and the Best of the Best at the end of camp.

Swehla is flying under the radar right now, but is definitely a Division 1 prospect. He is projected to play as an offensive guard at the next level. “My strength on the field is run blocking. My favorite thing about playing football is physically dominating people,” said Swehla.

We will keep you posted on his progress throughout the rest of the off-season and during his senior year.
