The “Mr. PSL” Award goes to the top overall player in the city of Detroit.
DeQuan Finn from Detroit King ran the table with all the top individual awards handed out from the media within the state.
He threw for 2,104 yards and 25 touchdowns his senior year, and he also rushed for 1,264 yards (
Finn was selected as State Champs’ Mr. Football award winner for 2018. Dequan showed his dual-threat ability by throwing for four touchdowns and running for another score in the 41-25 Division 3 state championship game. The Crusaders beat #3 Muskegon in the marquee matchup at Ford Field.
The 3-star prospect, who is 6’1 183-pounds, is ranked one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation. He also earned Detroit News All-State 1st Team. He is committed to the University of Toledo.
